What is Gnome Flow?
Gnome Flow is a program written to calculate and visualize simple steady state fluid flows. It uses the relaxation method, and can calculate flows past symmetric objects. Steady state means, that it calculates the flow at a given time, and that the physical parameters are constant in time. You can see a screenshot here. Gnome Flow is licensed under the GNU General Public License.

Requirements
Gnome Flow requires gnome-libs, gnomeui-libs and gdk-pixbuf. The gnome libraries on the development machine are version 1.2.4 but earlier versions might also work. gdk-pixbuf has to be at least version 0.8.0.

Download
You can download the latest version of Gnome Flow from the following locations:

  1. VP7 server in Denmark: [FTP] or [HTTP]
  2. SourceForge in USA: [ Project Page]

Instalation
Instalation is as easy as ./configure, make and make install. The latter has to be done as root. You should do a make install to get access to the data and online help that comes with the package. You can always do a make uninstall a make uninstall if you regret having installed the package.

Further Info
You can visit the Gnome Flow Project Page at SourceForge for further info, support requests, mailing lists, bug reports etc. (still working on it). You can also email us at gflow@vp7.dk. We will answer your mail as quick as possible.
